Pakistan Social Media Trip to Khewra Salt Mines

Its been a week now, Last Sunday we have been to Khewra Salt Mines with our social media Activist fellows. And I am missing that Sunday Feb 19, 2012 fun, enjoyment, craziness, laughters, photography, modelling whatelse!! J It was an initiative by Mansoor.ziaHaroon.aejaz and Talal MasoodWe were twelve Haris NadeemUsman latif Tayyiba Iram, Zain MajidAmnaa.tariq  Usman Younas, Kamal Subhani, Haroon Mazhar and Farrukh Sattar.

The main purpose of this trip was to show the world the positive side of Pakistan. We have such a beautiful and rich landscape and many places which are yet to be explored and known to the world. We are very energetic people and enjoy life the same way as any person living in any other country. Its how you see a picture and every person see a different perspective and angle. We started our journey to Khewra Salt mines from Lahore. Our journey started after our pick up van carried all of us from our stops.

We decided that we will tweet about our social media trip on twitter with the hashtag of #PSMT (Pakistan Social Media Trip). We were connected to each other through sms, calls and tweets; and there were moments like that Haris Nadeem tweeting Talal “Oye taalz ! Time to leave! They are on road!”
And Talal Replying “ harisn ok wearing shoes” that was funny and I was waiting for all of them to pick me from my pick up point, As mine and Usman Latif stop was in the end; After that we had to start journey.
Laughter in Van
The moment we took Usman Latif and he was in the van; after that there was start of laughter, jokes, funny teasers for each other of course all positive. It was nothing personal. We had stopped at Sukheki for our breakfast or more precisely for boys modelling and photography :P. Mansoor bhai was very right in his tweet that If it would have been 1000 pictures then 700 would be of usman Latif.:). And After looking at the   Sukheki pictures I envied why I missed that point of taking pictures where Zain, Usman, Haroon and Haris got pictures like crazy beings. J
Breakfast at Sukheki

Me and Amna Tariq were only girls who were seat partners, photograph partners, salt mines tour partners, tooty fruit youghurt partners, tawa chicken partners and who knows whatelse  J
Me and Amna :)
Going crazy in the mid of Road for taking group photo
Finally after so much more fun and laughters and photoshots we reached Khewra salt mines. We didn’t take train rather walked through mines on foot. Explored all through mines alongwith exchange of information.
Busy in updating checkins upon reaching Khewra salt mines
Khewra Salt mines are amazingly beautiful. Nature has its own way and can never be compared with man made things. Different sights have amazing views inside the mines. The salt itself has beautiful colors which include transparent, red, pink, and white shades. The formations of the minerals on the ceiling and elsewhere are guaranteed to be eye candy. The curators and artists have also created structures for the viewing pleasure of the visitors. There is also a replica of Badshahi mosque which is immensely eye catching.
Kamal Subhani told me that asthma paients are treated in salt mines also. I saw more details after coming back from trip at Asthma-treatment-khewra-salt-mine

After exploring salt mines we started our journey back and we were so hungry and thirsty by that time. We stopped at Subway Bhera and had our lunch. By the time it was sunset there and we took again a lot of pictures. One thing I will never forget I have been having height phobia since many years, At Bhera Motorway bridge in front of Subway I let go of my fear. Talal and Haroon Aejaz encouraged me to go on the bridge and they accompanied me. Haroon Aejaz was thinking that he must be awarded for ending this phobia. J

Then we started our journey way back to Lahore. Usman Latif, Haroon Aejaz, Talal Masood engaged all with their witty talks. Haris nadeem and Kamal Subhani were sleeping (badly  J ) and We took Haris Nadeems sleeping face pictures. J
By 19:30 PM we reached Lahore and had dinner at Krados.
Indeed It was great trip and good management by Mansoor, Haroon, Talal and Usman. Thank you all for taking wonderful pictures of all of us. You guys must be appreciated. I am happy to be a part of this trip.

One More thing I have got many a queries after this trip that Tayyiba when are you going next with a trip similar like that. Many a people got more intersted after seeing our funny pictures through out our journey. So friends keep in touch and we will be updating Soon with our next destination and exloration adventure.

Choosing Relation

Relationships must be chosen wisely. It is always better to be alone than to be in bad company. There’s no need to rush. If Something is meant to be, it will happen – in the right time, with the Right person, and for the Best reason. Dont seek someone to fill your loneliness. Love is sacred and Only Say Love You when You truly mean it. Love means surrender and total acceptance.. Ego is the biggest hurdle in total acceptance. ♥

Ego is Poisonous

Dont feed your Ego so much that you are unable to see the purities, compassion, respect and greatness in you and your relations. Ego is a poison which will pollute every aspect of your every relation sooner or later. Words when spoken in anger and hurt often go a long way. Accept as it is and be happy my friends.

We are all free, Enjoy this freedom by detaching yourself from all the expectations and conditions and have a open heart. Real freedom is detachment; only then you can feel joy in relations.

Some Glimpses of My Words

No words are new Yet their usage and the timings of their saying and sharing add colour and effect to the world and our lives. Let us keep on sharing and motivating each other even though all of us know that Life goes on. Let us share Hope and spread Hope.

I have realised more with the passing of time that thinking from the “I” perspective (always) is selfish and it creates fears and insecurities. Whereas thinking from the “You/We” perspective is broad and ultimately creates Love and understanding. When we understand (or try to) another person’s point of view, We gain patience and Tolerance and there is peace inside our heart.

“I” is good as far as appreciating one’s being is concerned like I’m loved, I’m Blessed, I’m gorgeous, I’m unique. There’s no one like Me but when thinking this way, I totally respect others i.e You.

Let’s respect our differences and celebrate them to make this world a more loving place. Let’s forget and forgive and just Be to be because we are unique creations of mind, body and soul.

Gratitude is the greatest blessing one could have. How blessed is one who is aware of all the blessings his being holds. I’m grateful for all the things in my life. I have earth on which I can walk without trembling. I have all the senses to see, hear and feel. I have a vision to see the world from others’ persepectives too. I have patience. What more! Countless Blessings. Friends, Start Counting yours and You will realize more.

I wonder how a Little pure compliment can uplift our spirits. It means that Gifts are never measured by their materialistic worth, but the most important thing is that what is given by the heart is definitely felt by heart. No word is ever new Yet the feelings behind the words make them Everlasting.

Gratitude attracts so much infinite blessings which we have never ever thought of.
